Summary: A better gnupg integration in kmail Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Debian testing OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: i...@bluelupo.net Version: kmail 4.3.2-1 (using KDE 4.3.2) Compiler: gcc-4.3 4.3.4-5 The GNU C compiler OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Hello kmail developers, you could simplify the setup of encrypted and signed mail in kmail? At present, we must adapt some configuration files and also change the "Security Devices" and under "Identities" tab "cryptography". Create or edit the following configuration files are to: ~/gnupg/gpg.conf ~/gnupg/gpg-agent.conf ~/.kde/env/gpagent.sh ~/.kde/shutdown/stop_gpagent.sh There are instructions on kde.org under http://userbase.kde.org/KMail/PGP_MIME, but this is not really user-friendly guide. A better approach would be the complete functionality of encryption with gnupg kmail to implement. A beginner overwhelmed them in the deployment of encryption kmail. We could provide this functionality in the form of a wizard yet available. It would be nice if this functionality could be integrated into the next versions of kmail. Otherwise, you have done a very good job with the new KDE4.
