I am reopening this bug since it happened to me today.
For some reason the emails are not sent to the sent-mail folder anymore (see
bug# 243613) and they get stuck in the outbox unless I specify another folder
for them to be stored in.
Once in the outbox those emails cannot be deleted or resent. They have however
been sent properly once.
