In the end the KDE4 version may even turn out better because of better knowledge about the pitfalls encountered doing KDE3 first. (Disclaimer: I'm not familiar with the code) Markus would like to see that any of this work would end up in a PIM branch that still receives some loving after the project is finished, which does not sound unreasonable. Let's keep the flames out and think about what we all really want: an even better KMail experience.
