I guess, technically the bug should be filed with KDE-PIM, because at the PIM 
level it should backup email, contacts, todo lists, journal, popups, calendar, 
and every other piece of information stored in the KDE PIM, just like 
Evolution does.

When a new version or a fresh install of KDE-PIM happens, there should be an 
option under the File menu to "Restore from backup".  All new versions need to 
support all prior backup versions/formats...this means they will most likely 
have to allow for data which didn't exist in prior versions to not be there.
