Summary: RFE: limit number of loaded messages in folder Product: kmail2 Version: 4.7 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: rnova...@redhat.com Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux KMail always loads all message headers in the folder. This takes a lot of system resources for large folders (more then minute for ~18000 mails). Since most users are IMHO interested in most recent emails it would be great if we can set how recent emails should be loaded. For example when folder is selected, only emails from last 30 days will be shown. The rest of the folder will be loaded after clicking on some button. This change would have positive influence on application responses as well as system resources used. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Load only most recent mails in the folder. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
