Summary: lost many email while moving them from a local folder to a local folder Product: kontact Version: 4.7.2 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: mail AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: br...@clisp.org Version: 4.7.2 (using KDE 4.7.3) OS: Linux kmail 4.7.4, akonadi 4.7.4 I moved the entire contents of a local folder (mbox format, in a mixedmaildir resource, from a previous kmail installation) to another local folder (maildir format, in the default maildir resource created by kmail). This process copied 2/3 of the mails correctly, but lost 1/3 of the mails: All mails newer than a certain date gave rise to 1-byte files (contents: 0x0A) for each in the destination folder. This is likely to be the consequence of an error. BUT the mails were all removed from the original folder! Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Register a mixedmaildir resource for an old kmail dir with 1 GB of mails. Press Ctrl-F5 (recursive refresh) on the top-level directory. It takes a long time and makes the akonadi_mixedmaildir_resource process grow to more than 2 GB. Select 1000 mails in one of these mail folders. Move them to your inbox using drag-and-drop. Actual Results: Mails were deleted from the original folder even if they did not appear correctly in the destination folder. Expected Results: Mails that could not be copied should stay in the original folder. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
