A workaround for anyone affected by this bug:
→ File
→ Save As
→ 'gpg --decrypt /tmp/saved.mbox > /tmp/saved.decrypted.mbox'
→ File
→ Open
→ Select '/tmp/saved.decrypted.mbox'
→ Save attachment as usual
