after having tried it for a couple of months I must say that I still don't
fancy the proposed resolution. Actually, the behaviour is quite irritating, not
just for me but also for my collegues.
The point is, I need to be able to decide whether and how I confirm an
invitation. In that respect it is pretty much like those reception messages
that people tend to expect sometimes. Funnily enough, those can be handled.
With invitations it's even more important though, since it is quite common to
"haggle" something out over the invitation. This can't be done nicely with the
current situation.
Please reconsider your previous decision, since there is a strong use case for
intervening the message flow for calendar events.
