For me, this happens with an IMAP account hosted on Courier-imap 4.8.0 with and
without server side subscription enabled.
Mail cannot be moved or deleted from INBOX while subfolders of INBOX are not
affected.
All other mail clients tested, including KMail1, work as expected.
Server information according to Akonadi:
