Knut Hildebrandt <knut.hildebra...@gmx.de> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |knut.hildebra...@gmx.de --- Comment #12 from Knut Hildebrandt <knut.hildebra...@gmx.de> --- Even though this bug is marked fixed I want to come back to it, since my file_db_data still keeps growing fast. And it is not only mail that is stored there and never gets erased, it's a whole bunch of different files. There are two VCARD's which are held in three different versions for weeks (in total six files). If I delete them manually the respective contacts disappear from KAddressbook and are not fetched again from my ownCloud account. BTW, both contacts hold a profile picture and are the only ones I added a picture to. There is one note from KNotes (a HTML document) already sitting in file_db_data for several days. Of this file also exist three different versions. There are six contactGroup files (XML files) sitting in the directory for about two weeks. When I delete them the respective groups disappear from KAddressbook as the afore mentioned contacts. All of the above mentioned items were not changes by me for a long time. There are dozens of strange looking plain text documents referring to old mail stuff in my mail archive hold in "Local Folders". These date back to the day when I re-imported the whole archive after finding a workaround for this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344242 And there are still hundreds of mail files in the directory, some dating back to the day I had completely emptied it - see above mentioned bug report for a detailed account of the whole procedure. Many, if not all, of the mails still residing in the directory have been deleted from the IMAP server yet or were moved to the local archive. I got the impression that Akonadi has a problem with were to store data and how to cache it. And this does not only hold true for mails but all data managed by Akonadi. And as one can see from the above mentioned contact files and contactGroup files and Bug 344242 this can cause the loss of data. Thus it would be great if the root of these problems could be found and eliminated. Right now I'm running KDE and Kontact 4.14.5-1 as well as Akonadi 1.13.0-3 under Chakra Linux. My system is always kept up-to-date. The last update of KDE-Pim and Akonadii was on March 4th 2015, a day before I deleted ~/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
