I believe some want to write hook/DSO code in an embedded script
language vs plain C++. I tried some such languages, python, ocaml,
lua and v8, in a sample hook code (pkt4_receive printing the packet).
The git branch is fdxhook (I pushed it to github) and the code and
documentation is in src/hooks/external. It is not (yet) officially
supported but I am ready to answer to any question.

Regards
