In 2016 someone requested a feature: "qualifying-suffix" should be
available per subnet, not just gobally.
https://lists.isc.org/pipermail/kea-users/2016-October/000578.html
In 2017 the feature request appeared again:
https://lists.isc.org/pipermail/kea-users/2017-January/000776.html
In 2018 someone opened a ticket
https://gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/kea/-/issues/314
which was closed by the assignee "believing" it was already implemented
after getting no answer from some else, who left the group about one
month before -
I believe the C in ISC stands for church, since a normal developer would
not close a ticket before a successful test in his environment.
And - oh, wow - the topic appeared again in 2019:

What is the ETA for this feature?

Hello:
As of Kea 1.7.1, all of the DDNS behavioral parameters were extracted
from with dhcp-ddns element, to stand-alone parameters, prefixed with
"ddns-" that may be set at the global, shared-network, and subnet levels:
See ChangeLog:
1669.?? [func]????? tmark
??? Rather than within the 'dhcp-ddns' section, DDNS behavioral
??? parameters may now be specified at global, shared-network,
??? and subnet scopes.? Implemented for both kea-dhcp4 and
??? kea-dhcp6.? Not yet supported by Config Backend or Netconf.
??? (Gitlab #35,!517, git 49ce6286f5d00f99c1c890f12cbc0fd633c9dbf6)

Just grabbed a 1.8.0 via git: At least no complaints when starting the
daemon - Will continue testing.
Thank you
