Good Morning Veronique

Thank you for your response but I need to complete this for many networks.
The idea of configuring reservations for each host defeats the objective of using DHCP.

There should be the following options for IPv6 or IPv4 to override at subnet, pool and reservations

"ddns-override-domain": ""

"ddns-override-dns-server": ""

Not sure how popular this would be.

Kind Regards

Russell

Hi Russelll,

We have the same use case as yours I guess.
We set the domain in the hostname:

     "reservations": [
       {
         "boot-file-name": "",
         "client-classes": [ ],
         "hostname": "myclient.ddns.myzone.corp",
         "hw-address": "00:00:00:00:00:0x",
         "next-server": "0.0.0.0",
         "option-data": [ ],
         "server-hostname": ""
       },

Hi,

I have successfully configured Kea DHCP and DDNS to update the domain
provided in the dhcp option 15 for example  "myzone.corp"
However I need to change the DDNS update domain to "ddns.myzone.corp"
while allowing the client to receive "myzone.corp".
I was looking through the Kea doc but I can not find the option that I
require.
Could someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Russell
