Howdy Keelers!

The Gunslinger has ventured deep into Eclipse Plugin API territory,
and come back with minimal reconnaissance given the massive size
and mystery of the API. However, in an effort to better serve Keelers
at large, I have hacked and prodded the first official Keel Plugin!

While there are big plans brewing back at The Ranch House, I wanted
to ride ahead and give you what I've got so far. The plugin currently
allows you to provide the name of a new Keel app-xxx module, and it will
create a starting directory structure and minimal supporting files to
give you a jump start in creating new Keel applications. There are
still many features to add, so consider this a pre-release, although
it has been tested by several Keel developers and deemed worthy of
this early release program.

I look forward to your ideas for new functionality, although there
are already several new things in the works. The delay at this
point is the learning curve involved with the Eclipse Plugin API,
and not a lack of ideas. None the less, I welcome your ideas for
new features and even contributions should you be so inclined.

Huh? Ok... Well, my sidekick just alerted The Ol' Gunslinger that
them thar smoke signals on the horizon mean vittles will be awaitin'
by the time we git back to the campfar.

Pete is in the process of posting the ZIP file to the main page
on the Keel Source Forge site (http://sourceforge.net/projects/keel).
Keep a keen eye peeled for it to be available soon. It will also
be available in CVS in the near future.

Happy Trails and Keel On!
