Equity Alert: Key European mkts dn 3-4% on Lehman bankruptcy filing
MUMBAI--2:17PM--Key European markets were down as news of U.S.-
based
Lehman Brothers Holdings filing for bankruptcy protection left
investors
increasingly worried about the health of financial markets worldwide.
Financial shares were the worst hit, with HSBC Holdings falling 3%
and
Societe Generale sliding 7%. UBS AG shares also lost 7%.
