India Post, redBus in pact to sell bus tickets in Karnataka

BANGALORE - India Post has tied up with Bangalore-based company
redBus to
offer bus ticket booking services through 160 post offices under
Karnataka
Postal Circle in a pilot project.
"This partnership will enable the citizens of Karnataka to walk in
to the
nearest post office and book a bus ticket for 300 plus bus operators
on 4,000
plus routes," India Post said in a release here today.
Karnataka Postal Circle has also tied up with the ARM I Solutions
Pvt
Ltd, which is in the business of selling rail and air tickets.
India Post currently has 5,000 internet-enabled post offices
across the
country, including 511 in Karnataka Postal Circle.
