Regards Admin www.StreetTalk.in Requirement Title : Financial content editor Description Job is a part time role in online capacity - it is assumed that the candidate has a computer and reliable internet access available. The deliverables (see goals below) are required every morning before 9:30 AM IST. This role is for a period of two months initially (tentative start date Sep 25th 2008) and will be negotiated in the last week of the two months. Role: - To contribute content to a financial website on a daily basis, by aggregating news from www sources. - Add content (4 links, 10 files and 1 blog post) on each working day (see definition of each working day below, and definition of each content item at bottom) - Report on daily basis to me with list and links of content added Specific goals are applicable to the role which are * At least 4 new links added each working day * At least 10 files uploaded each working day * At least 1 blog post on current financial news (India or world) each working day "Each working day" is defined as Monday to Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are optional and an overtime for the same can be negotiated. "Failed deliveries" definition Failed deliveries include, but are not limited to - Adding 3 links or less any working day - Adding 9 files or less any working day - Adding 0 blog posts any working day - Adding duplicate links - links same as added before - Adding duplicate files - files same as added before - Incorrect descriptions in link/file descriptions - Blog posts which are less than 300 words in length - Blog posts without relevant links for further reading - Links, Files or Blog posts not related to Finance, Investment and specific to India, US or UK markets - Not posting all content before the time set for each working day which is 9:30 AM IST. - Direct plagiarism of news/blogs content from the internet - no direct copying of content is allowed. Candidate may however paraphrase articles/blogs, and reuse graphics with proper references, to avoid copyright issues. NOTE:Failed deliveries carry penalties as explained in the Remuneration section below. Minimum qualifications - Based in India - Hold a Bachelors degree in commerce/finance streams - Reasonable knowledge of financial and ivnestment terms - Significant knowledge of searching on the web especially for news and blogs - Excellent fluency in English - A computer with internet access is required as this is an online job with no office being given Desired qualitifications - Candidate can show that he is undergoing a course in Finance and/or has demonstrated interest in finance/investing Remuneration The selected candidate will agree to a monthly stipend , payable before the 7th of the following month by cheque or online transfer. The stipend will be calculated as below: 1) A fixed amount of Rs 800 2) PLUS, Rs 10 will be paid for each link and file that is uploaded into the system 3) PLUS, Rs 20 will be paid for each blog post that is posted on the system The candidate can add extra content (extra means more than the minimum stated in requirements) - but only extra content on Friday, Saturday or sunday will be counted as overtime (therefore any extra content on Mon to Thursday is not counted as overtime). Thus defined overtime will be paid as per (2) and (3) above. NOTE: The MAXIMUM amount paid each month to the candidate will be Rs 4200 - any overtime above this will not be counted (and also not rolled over to the following month ). Penalties If there is a failuer on any day as listed in the Failed Deliveries definition, it will count as a miss and not count towards calculation of remuneration. Include a brief description of your current position etc and why you are interested. PLEASE NOTE: From the day of start of work, the first 5 working days will be a "test" period, and either party can terminate the contract without further notice. Remuneration for this period will be paid in accordance with the remuneration clause below as applicable for the # of days worked. Termination without notice can also be done at the end of the first month and remuneration will be paid for # of days worked in accordance with remuneration clause above. Definition of Links, Files and Blogs Links are simply a url with a brief description that need to be input into an online form Files refer to research reports, market reports, analyst reports or other finance/investment related documents that reflect the daily/updated stock markets. These are to be uploaded to a simple online form with a brief description. Blogs are short writeups on a relevant finance/investment topic The process for submission will be explained to the selected candidate.
