India crude oil basket marginally up at $98.68 per barrel Wed

NEW DELHI - India's crude oil basket rose by 49 cents a barrel
Wednesday
to $98.68 (about 4,600 rupees), data released by the petroleum and
natural gas
ministry showed today.
Reversing its downtrend, the Indian basket has been inching
upwards over
the past week and has risen almost $12 a barrel during the period.
The Indian crude basket comprises Oman-Dubai sour grade crude and
Brent
dated sweet crude in a 62.3:37.7 ratio.
Wednesday, Dubai crude price rose 80 cents a barrel to $96.42 and
Oman
crude increased by 65 cents to $96.75 a barrel. Dated Brent crude
price
also went up by 11 cents a barrel to $102.15.
The Indian basket has averaged $97.27 per barrel so far this
month, down
about 14% from August average of $113.05.
