New Delhi, Sept. 25 Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd's woes continued with New
Zealand's health ministry saying that three drugs imported into that country
will be voluntarily quarantined by the suppliers till further tests are done.
These three drugs are part of the 30 medicines blocked by the United States
Food and Drug Administration on the grounds that the Ranbaxy had failed to meet
manufacturing standards in two of its plants in India.

"The two suppliers of the three Ranbaxy funded products available in New
Zealand, Douglas Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Apotex New Zealand Ltd, have agreed to
voluntarily hold the products, which are due in the country in October. This
means the products will be held in quarantine at the companies' own warehouses,
and not released for distribution," said a statement from the New Zealand
Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, in another blow, AIDS drugs made by Ranbaxy will not be purchased
under an American programme to supply medicines to developing countries
