SEBI reallocates FII unutilised debt limits

    MUMBAI - Securities Exchange Board of India today came out with
the fourth
list of foreign institutional investors and reallocated the unutilised
debt
limits.
    SEBI allotted $408.64 mln to FIIs in corporate debt and $108.93
mln in
government securities.
    The list includes Multi Manager India Fund Ltd., Transportation
Infrastructure and Energy Investments, Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets
Domestic Debt Fund, Societe Generale, Morgan Stanley Institutional
Fund, The
India Fund, Standard Chartered Bank (Mauritius) Ltd., Barclays
Merchant Bank
Singapore.
    The third list was released on Aug 29.
    After assessment of the utilisation, the unutilised debt limits
are being
re-allocated, said SEBI.
    The capital market regulator had increased FII debt limits in
government
securities to $5 bln from $3.2 bln, and in corporate debt to $3.0 bln
from
$1.5 bln.
    The enhanced limits shall be allocated among the FIIs on a 'first
come
first served' basis, subject to a ceiling of $200 mln per registered
entity.  End
