*Bharti Airtel*, a part of Bharti Enterprises onsolidated profit as per Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP) registered a rise of 38.35% during the quarter ended December 2008. The consolidated net profit as per IGAAP stood at Rs 19764.10 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 14285.60 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007.
On a consolidated basis the company registered a rise of 38.33% in the consolidated total revenues in the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the revenues of the company rose to Rs 96,330 million from Rs 69,640 million in the same quarter previous year. Consolidated EBITDA for the quarter climbed 33% to Rs 39,450 million compared with the prior year period. The net income for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008 was Rs 21,590 million, a growth of 25% over the last year. The company announced a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 42.08% to Rs 20,172.90 million from Rs 14,198.40 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 33.42% to Rs 88,301.10 million, while total income for the quarter rose 32.44% to Rs 88,502.50 million, when compared with the prior year period.
