*Dhampur Sugar Mills *announced a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008.
During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 5.52 times to Rs 136.68 million from Rs 24.74 million in the same quarter last year due to strong topline. Net sales for the quarter rose 2.05 times to Rs 2,694.15 million, while total income for the quarter jumped 99.43% to Rs 2,699.47 million, when compared with the prior year period.
