*Mazda *reported a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 11.69% to Rs 21.38 million from Rs 24.21 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales declined 6.67% to Rs 167 million, while total income for the quarter fell 6.71% to Rs 168.09 million, when compared with the prior year period.
