During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 68.73% to Rs 6,707.90 million from Rs 21,449.80 million in the same quarter last year. Consolidated total Income has decreased 58.84% from Rs 36,512.50 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007 to Rs 15,027.90 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008. *Standalone results* The company reported a substantial drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 70.61% to Rs 1,780.60 million from Rs 6,058.40 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales declined 74.68% to Rs 4,244 million, while total income for the quarter fell 62.30% to Rs 6,833.90 million, when compared with the prior year period.
