*Unitech* announced a 74.12% fall in consolidated net profit after tax to Rs 1,360.50 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008 as against Rs 5,257.80 million in quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007.
The consolidated net sales fell 57.15% to Rs 4,893.9 million for quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008 as against 11,421 million for quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007. The company disclosed a substantial drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 94.71% to Rs 195.00 million from Rs 3,689.20 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales declined 75.10% to Rs 2,038 million, while total income for the quarter fell 61.75% to Rs 3,246.70 million, when compared with the prior year period.
