Manufacturer of healthcare devices Opto Circuits India yesterday said its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009, rose by 62 per cent at Rs 55.37 crore, over the same period last year.
The company had a net profit of Rs 34.20 crore in the same period ended March 2008, Opto Circuits India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Net sales of the company rose to Rs 213.11 crore for the period ended March 2009, from Rs 120.48 crore in the same period last year. For the year ended March 2009, the company has posted a net profit Rs 209.44 crore, up 60.30 per cent from Rs 130.65 crore in the same period last year. The company board proposed a dividend of Rs 4 a piece (face value of Rs 10 each) for the year 2008-2009, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
