* ADANI PORTS AND SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE: The company's 1,840-ha SEZ in
Gujarat is under the government scanner for alleged violation of norms.

* AXIS BANK: Has raised $250 mln through a tap issue, wherein it allotted
its existing 5.125% senior unsecured notes due in 2017.

* DALMIA BHARAT SUGAR AND INDUSTRIES: Promoter Y.H. Dalmia, along with
others promoters, bought 80.9 mln shares of the company from the open
market Tuesday.

* DECCAN CHRONICLE HOLDINGS: The company's lenders plan to set up a
committee to secure their interests.

* DLF: Is set to build India 's largest mall, a 4-mln sq ft promenade in
Gurgaon, at an investment of 20 bln rupees.

* EVERONN EDUCATION: Will acquire all of the issued and paid-up share
capital of Centum Learning, a Bharti family promoted training and skill
development company.

* GLENMARK PHARMACEUTICALS: International Centre for Dispute Resolution has
ruled in favour of the company on the arbitration claim it filed against
Napo Pharmaceuticals concerning diarrhoea drug Crofelemer.

* GTN INDUSTRIES: Has temporarily suspended manufacturing operations on
staff strike at the company's yarn processing unit located at Shadnagar.

* HINDUSTAN ZINC: Vedanta Resources has called a meeting of its
shareholders Tuesday for acquiring 29.5% stake in HINDUSTAN ZINC and 49.0%
in Bharat Aluminium Co at prices higher than that offered earlier.

* INDIA INFOLINE: Has initiated talks with promoter Kailash Gupta to pick
up part of his stake in National Multi-Commodity Exchange. Gupta holds
30.18% stake in commodity exchange through Neptune Overseas.

* KAMDHENU ISPAT: Plans to raise 1 bln rupees via private equity placement
to fund its various expansion projects in the paints business.

* KESORAM INDUSTRIES: Has approved rights issue of shares worth up to 5 bln
rupees.

* KINGFISHER AIRLINES: Directorate general of civil aviation has started
fresh safety audit of the company.

* LUPIN: Is eyeing an acquisition in Japan in the range of $100 mln-$200
mln.

* MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA: Arm Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles has inaugurated
its manufacturing facility in Bengaluru.

* NEW DELHI TELEVISION: Global advertising and marketing services firm WPP
could file a defamation case against NDTV, with the latter filing a lawsuit
against TAM India and its parent companies, including AC Nielsen, Kantar
and WPP, for alleged fudging of TV viewership data.

* NTPC: Has put on the backburner its plans to set up nuclear power
projects jointly with Nuclear Power Corp of India . Is offering Indian
Railways money to set up the required rail links to move coal from the
mines to its power plants.

* STATE BANK OF INDIA : Is looking at re-launching its tractor loan product
by easing loan processing criteria and also lowering interest rates as
necessary.

* TATA STEEL: Plans to raise 180 bln rupees through the project finance
route, to fund its 6-mln-tn greenfield steel plant in Kalinganagar, Odisha.
