                                 Training Programme
          on
Process Documentation of Development Interventions 21-23 July
2009 ( New Delhi )
Any development intervention is visualized as a set of project activities that
take place within a defined time-space setting. However a project's life seldom
follows a straight line. All kinds of events happen and force a project to
adapt its course. Development does not come easily, especially if it is
targeted at empowerment, social integration, stakeholder participation or
improved governance. Process documentation aims to learn from the curves and
the bumps on the project road what happened there, how and why did it happen?
Project functionaries often do it all the time but not systematically and not
for learning. It helps project staff and stakeholders to carefully track
meaningful events in their project and enables reflection and analysis of these
events in order to understand better what is
happening, how it is happening and why it may be happening. Process
documentation help projects to break through their sharp boundaries in time and
space.  Parivartan announces a three day training programme on Process
Documentation of Development Interventions at Delhi to meet this need.
Training OutcomesAt the end of the
training, the participants will be able to:: 4 Understand and
explain the meaning and consolidate knowledge on documenting process
4 Understand the methodology and improve skills for using tools and
techniques 4 Strengthen communication skills and capture
processes on the ground.
Who should attendThis programme, aims at building organizational
capacities in process documentation in NGOs and is targeted for operational and
middle level functionaries, practitioners and
consultants involved in the documentation and communication of development
interventions.                                                  Programme
