If you have friends or acquaintances in your home country, or elsewhere outside of Japan, who may also want to study at APU, why not do them a favor by telling them about the generous scholarship opportunities below? Please be sure to note, however, that current APU students, or any other individuals residing in Japan, are NOT eligible to apply for these scholarships. International students who will leave Japan permanently prior to April 2011, however, may be eligible to apply. These full scholarships are for academically exceptional individuals to study at the Graduate School in Fall 2011. Important details are as follows: External Scholarships Available: -MEXT International Priority Graduate Programs -Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program -Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (All scholarships provide necessary airfare, university fees, and living expenses.) Eligibility: -Outstanding academic record -Exceptional English ability -See information regarding each scholarship for individual requirements Application Method: Applicants should complete the application materials and post them directly to APU along with the required documents according to the Admissions Handbook. Forms and instructions can also be downloaded from www.apu.ac.jp/graduate Required Application Fee 5,000 Japanese yen or $57 US Dollars (see the Admissions Handbook for the method of payment) Make sure applicants know they need to pay this! Application Deadline: MEXT: November 30th 2010 Other Scholarships: March 31st 2011 (Applicants should post documents early to ensure that all necessary items arrive at APU by this date. Applications will not be accepted by FAX or E-mail.) APU will allocate the appropriate scholarships to successful applicants who meet the scholarship requirements. Applicants who are selected by APU will be recommended to the appropriate scholarship organizations. Final decisions regarding scholarship awards will be made by the scholarship organizations.
