SecureNetTerm, a Microsoft Windows 98/ME/NT/W2K/XP based SSH-1, SSH-2, TLS and telnet client now supports Kerberos 5 authentication with the OpenSSH based SSH server using the external-keyx and gssapi authentication methods. Kerberos 5 is also supported using the SSH Data Communications SSH-2 server. SecureNetTerm is compliant with the MIT Kerberos 1.2 4 host distribution and the MIT Windows 2.1.2 Kerberos PC distribution.
In addition to Kerberos 5 authentication, SecureNetTerm supports Kerberos 4, SRP, public/private key, S/Key, OPIE, encrypted password, SecureID and certificate authentication methods. Certificates maintained by both the Microsoft and Netscape browsers are fully supported and can be used for SSH authentication. SecureNetTerm also includes a fully compliant Windows based SSH key agent, supporting public/private keys as well as certificates. Any PKCS-11 smart card/USB token compatible with either the Netscape or Microsoft browser is also fully supported for certificate based authentication.
