gss_acquire_cred quaestion...

Hi,
        I am trying to call gssapi function gss_acquire_cred , but i could
not pass Service Principle's password direct in this function.
Is it must to generate keytab file for every principal that we want to use
in this function....
If anybody can tell me this,than it would be great help......
