Hm, it shouldn't have given that impression. Installing the config file(s) is part of the installation process, but it's manual, not automatic. You'll need to create the files yourself. The install docs describe what the contents should be, and there is a sample one in the source tree under src/config-files, but you would need to modify it to work at your site.
