Hey,

Has anyone noticed that IE 7 pops up that Network Password dialog with
the first 401 Unauthorized request even if the server does not advertise
NTLM? Other versions of IE will not pop up that dialog until the *second*
401 Unauthorized. That gives the server a chance to send 200 w/ an error
page or a login page. Now you can't. So if you have a Kerberos site with
fallback to a login form this annoying and confusing Network Password
dialog pops up and you have to hit cancel five times to get in.

Someone please tell me there's a registry setting to fix this.

Mike
