Secure Endpoints Inc. has ported the UMich Kerberized Certificate Authority Service to Active Directory. The KCA issues X.509 certificates to authenticated clients whose Kerberos principal is associated with an Active Directory User object via the User Principal Name attribute. The resulting X.509 certificates can then be used to provide certificate based client authentication while at the same time ensuring that the authenticating party receives the client's Kerberos principal name for use in authorization decisions.
Organizations that are interested in finding out more about the KCA Service for Active Directory and are interested in testing the service are encouraged to contact Secure Endpoints Inc via e-mail at kca at secure-endpoints dot com Jeffrey Altman Secure Endpoints Inc.
