I'm sorry i'm giving the best answers, the navigation code was written by
both geir and magnusE, not me.

Do these navigations exist correctly in the NavigationDataObject before
rendering starts?
The building up of the navigation objects, via their corresponding
NavigationController, occurs in NavigationRunHandler which
RunningQueryImpl kicks off.
