I have a question regarding the macro #navigationBox that we are using on multiple sitesearches for sesam.se. How do I treat a field that has separators but is not meant as a tree structure?

My problem:
We want an author navigation in a sitesearch. Articles can have more than one author and have “fastpbfast” as a separator in the field (Bernt Hermele fastpbfast Leif Holmkvist). When I use the navigationBox macro it displays Leif as a subcategory of Bernt, when in fact I want to display both authors in the top level and make the whole navigator completely flat.

Can it be done with the navigationBox macro?

Hi!

I heard you got a solution when talking to Magne. A multivalue field is something else than a navigator, but you should be able to use some of the same code. When working with "sesam.no", I created a result handler called FieldSplitter that splits values like this into a multivalue field which can be used as an array.
