Hi,

For 3G cards support (which is listed in 2007.0 features), we need the
nozomi kernel driver.

The easier solution would be to include it in the main kernel package,
but I don't think the source code of this driver meets the quality
standards of the kernel team.
I know that a driver is being rewritten for this 3G cards (see
http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/7/20/98 ), but I won't be ready for 2007.0
release.

Another solution would be to generate pre-compiled dkms packages, from
the existing dkms-nozomi package. Unfortunately, there is no
package media to host such pre-compiled dkms packages currently.

Could we provide a "pre-compiled dkms packages" media for this kind of
drivers?
The important work would be about maintaining automatic rebuilding of
the dkms packages, but the kernel team already has such scripts AFAIK,
and I'd volunteer to extend them or write new ones.

So, what should we do?
