You have been subscribed to a public bug: I can't connect using my nokia CS-10 usb modem, usb-modeswitch fails when trying to change mode. I have tested my modem in two different machines with fresh installs of ubuntu 12.04 and the result was the same in both of them.
Here is the output of dmesg for the device : [ 249.143605] usb 1-1.1: new high-speed USB device number 4 using ehci_hcd [ 249.298240] Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... Sense: No additional sense information I attached usb-modeswitch log for more information, as I can see in file, modeswitch falls in a loop searching for the device. I have tested the modem too in fedora 16 and chakra linux updated to last version, the usb modem works fine, that lets me think its an ubuntu related bug. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Tags: needs-kernel-logs needs-upstream-testing precise regression-potential -- Nokia CS-10 usb modem can't connect on Ubuntu 12.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1003045 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
