Hello, did not come back to this as updating my bios made my notebook unuseable and I had to send it in for service. Now back with the upgraded bios, mousepad seems to be working in perfect order!

But mine is different. My mousepad gets recognized fine and works without problems. However if I keep on using it consistently ubuntu freezes after approximately 5 minutes of usage. The mouse doesn't move anymore, connecting an external mouse makes the pointer not move either. Oddly enough this doesn' t happen when using an external mouse from the start.
