Since this fix was not making it upstream I created module distros - https://github.com/SicVolo/hid-apple-3.19 https://github.com/SicVolo/hid-apple-4.0.x and https://github.com/SicVolo/hid-apple-4.1.2. It also fixes the non-functioning mouse right click. The bug and the fix were filed here as well - https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96771 but they dont seem to be making it way up either.
