What happens: The keyboard backlight and the power button light come on, but the screen remains blank. Using Ctr-Alt-F1 does nothing (can't get to a virtual console, indicating that it's not just X that has stopped) What I expect to happen: On opening of the laptop lid, I expect the lockscreen to show.
