yes, my laptop has a button for wifi, but its not working in ubuntu. If i shutdown the system, and after that unplug the battery and thn plugin again and start the system, the wifi still doesn't work and also doesn't show list of available wifi networks and the status of the "rfkill list all" is soft blocked: no hard blocked: no and than if deselect "Enable wifi" and again select "Enable wifi" it shows "wifi is disabled by hardware switch" and the result of the "rfkill list all" is soft blocked: no hard blocked: yes
