Title:
xenial arm64 regression: "unsupported RELA relocation: 275" on adding
  a bridge

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  (Split out from bug 1531768)

Installing the current xenial kernel on arm64
  (http://ports.ubuntu.com/pool/main/l/linux/linux-
  image-4.3.0-5-generic_4.3.0-5.16_arm64.deb) regresses the creation of
  bridges, which breaks LXC:

  lxc fails on lxc-net:

Jan 07 10:03:15 lxd-armhf1w systemd[1]: Starting LXC network bridge setup...
  Jan 07 10:03:16 lxd-armhf1w lxc-net[10651]: RTNETLINK answers: Operation not
supported
  Jan 07 10:03:16 lxd-armhf1w lxc-net[10651]: Failed to setup lxc-net.

particularly it fails on "ip link add dev lxcbr0 type bridge". Running
just this command reproduces the error.

  dmesg error for this:

  [ 199.168466] module x_tables: unsupported RELA relocation: 275
[ 199.232020] module llc: unsupported RELA relocation: 275

This works fine with the trusty and wily arm64 kernel.

(Tested on Scalingstack; I can hand out ssh access to Canonical folks)
