After trying to get to a terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 the colored lines disappeared to show the expected screen of the desktop, however everything is frozen. It has occured on 2 out of 2 attempts. The laptop has been put in suspend either by closing the lid or leaving it alone for a while. The laptop is able to suspend in Windows 10 without issue. I have only used Ubuntu without installing as to evaluate the compatability with Ubuntu. I tried both 14.04 and 15.04.
