Not sure if it's the right place but I'd like to report a bug. I bought a Acer Aspire V3-372-53GG (brand new laptop released very recently by Acer), installed Ubuntu alongside Windows and the touchpad is not recognized at all. I have to use a mouse. I am using Ubuntu 15.10. Results of xinput ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Microsoft Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0 id=9 [slave pointer (2)] ⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)] ↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Video Bus id=7 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Sleep Button id=8 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ HD WebCam id=10 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ AT Translated Set 2 keyboard id=11 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Acer WMI hotkeys id=12 [slave keyboard (3)] Probably a Kernel issue... If anyone interested, the WIFI card is not recognized as well, but I solved that by downloading a new version of QCA6174 and remplacing the folder in /lib/firmware/ath10k/ Many thanks. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1549515 Title: Touchpad not recognized Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hello everybody, Not sure if it's the right place but I'd like to report a bug.
