Public bug reported:

In a fresh Ubuntu 16.04 install, my Macbook does not properly report any
of the following in the top bar:

1. Charge. It always says 90-91%.
2. Charging or not: when the power adapter is plugged in, it claims its not
plugged in, and the LED is green on the charger; while if its not plugged in,
it shows the "spark" symbol - thinking it is plugged in.

After a while of being plugged it registers as plugged in, fully
charged, even though its only charged ~88%

I don't know where to start to troubleshoot this.
