So I tried my Ubuntu Karmic Netbook Remix bluetooth with my iTech BluePro stereo headset. Low and behold Karmic has the same issue. (the headset works in Symbian and Windows, and connects to Maemo but is choppy with A2DP playback) When I use the bluetooth wizard it connects to the device but then comes back with Setup of Device Failed. (error message needs to be improved to say exactly what in the set up failed). In the syslog output I can see it sending the PIN then disconnecting from the device tail of the syslog Dec 17 21:14:29 sungkai bluetoothd[1584]: link_key_request (sba=00:24:2C:DC:3A:79, dba=00:0D:3C:35:BD:5F) Dec 17 21:14:29 sungkai bluetoothd[1584]: pin_code_request (sba=00:24:2C:DC:3A:79, dba=00:0D:3C:35:BD:5F) Dec 17 21:14:29 sungkai bluetoothd[1584]: Stopping discovery So two things: Error messages need to be improved and A solution to why the device will not connect to Karmic.
