The very fact that Ubuntu recognizes the make and model of the camera is even more infuriating! Why the heck won't it mount it so I can download and manipulate my photos with programs like Digikam, Shotwell, etcetera? Gimp can open the files...but of course GIMP is not a photo-management program. Please resolve and/or tell me which program will communicate with this excellent little digital camera! I have combed the web for a solution and I am at wits end. Full Error message: "Unable to mount Kodak EasyShare Z1285 Zoom Digital Camera Error initializing camera:-53: Could not claim the USB device" Thank you for addressing this issue. --- ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.1 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC1: bruskald 1572 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: bruskald 1572 F.... pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: KDE DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=3216a142-aeeb-48ff-a79a-f3e0bddf07fd InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-04-29 (64 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Studio 16.04 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20160420.1) IwConfig: enp2s0 no wireless extensions. lo no wireless extensions. enp3s2 no wireless extensions.
