Title:
Touchpad problem asus X540LA
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Good morning, I own an asus X540LA-XX112D notebook and I've just
install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS version. It doesn't recognize properly the
touchpad. In particular features like scrolling, tapping, ecc... don't
work at all. It is also absent from system -> preferences -> mouse
'the touchpad tab'. The touchpad name is "FTE1001:00 0B05:0101" and
the symptom has appeared when I've installed Ubuntu, from the
beginning. I attach to you the output if the following commands:
cat /proc/bus/input/devices > ~/devices
xinput —list > ~/xinput
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log > Xorg.0.log
And in particular I'm following a guide I've found at this link:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection
I'm quite prepared to give any further information to you.
Thank you,
Martina
