Public bug reported:

I just switched my computer on, and grub shown this error:

error: attempt to read or write outside of disk 'hd0'.
Entering rescue mode

>From that point my computer was no longer usable, and I did nothing for
that to happen.

Further investigation shown that the "/boot/grub/linux.mod" file was no
longer there. I managed to repair the error by using a live CD and
(https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair).

This is what Boot Repair did: (http://paste2.org/dNFpjedh).
